The next Thanking the Monkey book reading/signing is at the gorgeous Poplar Springs Animal Sanctuary just 25 miles west of DC. Many people who have been on DawnWatch for a while are familiar with the story of my meeting with Olivia the turkey at that sanctuary. It will be wonderful to read her story and others from the book at the beautiful spot where she happily lived out her days. If you came to the Olsson's reading, we'll be reading different tales at this one, so please come again -- especially if Olsson's sold out of books before you got one! Poplar Springs Animal Sanctuary is enchanting. If you have never been to an animal sanctuary, don't miss this opportunity to come cuddle turkeys, pet cows, and belly-rub pigs. Come tour the sanctuary and visit the animals from 5-7, then enjoy some wine and vegan snacks, during and after the reading and signing, from about 7-8:30pm.
